In 1867, Corbett Avenue became the first roadway in San Francisco that was laid out to follow the contours of the hills.  As the avenue meandered up the hill toward Twin Peaks homes were built to take advantage of the bay and hillside views.  One of the homes was 232 Corbett Avenue, an Arts and Craft style home with its steep roof, dormer of windows and stucco exterior.  Since the home was built it had changed very little but in 2014 and 2015 the current owner did an extensive remodel with the intent to maintain much of the original character and charm.
